dbt Cloud

Manifest and catalog from your production runs. No repo access needed.

Updated 19 October 2026

Recommended for dbt. A read-only service token, about three minutes to set up, and it stays current on its own.

Connect

  1. In dbt Cloud, open Account settings → Service tokens.
  2. Create a token with the Job Viewer permission set (Read-only on Starter plans), on this project only.
  3. Copy the account ID from your account URL, and the ID of the job that builds production.
  4. On that job, tick Generate docs on run, so Benchouse receives the catalog.
  5. In Integrations, under Add a source, choose dbt Cloud. Give the access URL (cloud.getdbt.com, or your region’s), the account ID and the job ID, and paste the token.

Benchouse reads two files, manifest.json and catalog.json, from each new successful run. It never triggers jobs, changes settings or writes anything. Disconnecting deletes the token and the stored snapshots.

Prefer git? Connect the repository. You need it anyway for fix pull requests.
